World’s first radio station playing nothing but radio jingles launches with a re-sung Chris Moyles Show jingle.
A re-make of one of the popular Chris Moyles Show jingles from BBC Radio 1 has signified the official launch of the only radio station in the world to play nothing but OTHER radio stations’ jingles.
JingleMad Radio is streaming jingles 24 hours a day from MediaCityUK, with the average length of each audio being just a few seconds long.
The station features announcements from famous radio presenters in the UK and USA including Pat Sharp, Cousin Brucie, Hirsty, Bruno Brooks, Adrian Juste, Mike Read, Carlos and Pete Waterman. Even singer Michael Bolton and former Radio 1 Controller Johnny Beerling have endorsed the station!
JingleMad Radio is operated as any professional music radio station, with playlists, top of hour news, hourly features and a weekend theme. Montages made by users of the JingleMad.com forums, plus jingle company demos also feature every hour. It is powered by PSquared’s Myriad software, which is in use on hundreds of radio stations in the UK alone.
Station Director Roy Martin explains: “I wanted to set up an online radio station but didn’t want it to duplicate the thousands already operating, so with my radio and jingle background I thought I’d put the two together and create something unique.”
The station features jingles from most UK radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Heart, Smooth, Capital, Magic, and lots of American classics such as JACK fm, Z100, KIIS FM and SIRIUS XM. JingleMad Radio has a growing database of over 10,000 jingles from other stations on rotation, plus a growing number of its own specially made jingles in Dallas and beyond.
JingleMad Radio is available at JingleMadRadio.com, on TuneIn and via its own App on iPhone and Android.
